Cool Quotes

I don't usually pass on sayings or "words of wisdom," but I think these people really had something to contribute to society. Their words are definitely worth considering. Plus, they are just great quotes.

"Just because your voice reaches halfway around the world doesn't mean you are wiser than when it reached only to the end of the bar."
--Edward R. Murrow

" The madman is not the man who has lost his reason. The madman is the man who has lost everything except his reason. "
--G. K. Chesterton

"A man who is eating or lying with his wife or preparing to go to sleep in humility, thankfulness and temperance, is, by Christian standards, in an infinitely higher state than one who is listening to Bach or reading Plato in a state of pride. "

--C. S. Lewis

"If you can't feed a hundred people, then feed just one."

--Mother Teresa

"The great danger for family life, in the midst of any society whose idols are pleasure, comfort and independence, lies in the fact that people close their hearts and become selfish. "

--Pope John Paul II

"The devil's name is dullness."

--Robert E. Lee

I need my brain checked. I thought it said "a man who is eating his wife, or lying to her..." Wow.
